Alex Boye is one of our keynote speakers at CollegeCon 2016! We are excited to welcome his talent and his vision!
Alex is a recording artist from London, England who’s greatest passion is expressing himself through music. After years of successful recordings as a gospel artist, the charismatic vocal powerhouse is embracing his rich African heritage.  “I think above all, people respond to an artist’s honesty and integrity, and I feel like I am being true to myself in a way I have never been,” he says. “The ultimate goal is to make people feel good and give them a few moments of uplift, which as I’ve discovered over the years, can have transforming and even lifesaving potential.”

Matt Townsend

We are excited to have Matt Townsend as one of our keynote speakers at CollegeCon 2016!
For more than a decade, Matt Townsend has been energizing and involving audiences with his unique approach to building and maintaining successful relationships. Known as one of America’s top presenters in the field of Human Relations and Development, Matt blends humor and story telling with interactive, real-life solutions that inspire motivation and immediate results in his audiences.
Having dedicated his life to the study of communication and interpersonal relationships, Matt has worked extensively in the areas of results-oriented communication, conflict resolution and time management training. As a lead presenter for industry leader, Franklin Covey, Matt worked with the Family & Special Market Division and created the company’s largest train-the-trainer program, certifying more than 900 trainers to teach his customized time management curriculum.
“The Matt Townsend Show” is broadcast every week on KSL News Radio and Matt’s book Starved Stuff: The 7 Basic Needs of Healthy Relationships is a popular pick among those searching for better relationship skills. Having earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication and a second master’s degree in Human Development, he recently earned his PhD in the field of Human Development. Casey Layton

Casey Layton is a member of our Executive Board! He has been our main contact and liaison with the School District.
Casey Layton is the Director of all the counselors within the Davis School District. He specializes in Comprehensive Guidance and he’s on the Crisis-Response Team. He supports Secondary Safe Schools. He has been a fantastic resource as we’ve built up CollegeCon 2016!

Marshall McKinnon

Marshall McKinnon is another member of our Executive Board! We are excited to have his medical expertise on board.
Marshall McKinnon is the CEO of Tanner Clinic, a multi-specialty physician clinic serving Davis and Weber Counties. Mr. McKinnon started employment with Tanner Clinic in 1990, his first job out of college. At that time there were 20 physicians and one clinic location. Tanner Clinic now has 5 locations, over 100 physicians, and 600 employees.
Mr. McKinnon received a bachelor’s degree in International Finance from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Utah State University. He has served as President of the Utah Medical Group Management Association and was awarded Medical Practice Executive of the Year in 2011 by the same organization. He resides in Kaysville with his wife, Jill, and they are the parents of 6 children.

Greg Larson

Greg Larson has joined our Executive Board! He is currently the Managing Director at Ridgeview Capital Management.

Prior to co-founding Ridgeview and assuming a Managing Director position, Greg established an impressive investment record with three other private equity firms. While serving in executive positions, he managed the investment process, frequently served as a company director and managed the liquidity strategies (through private sales, recapitalizations and IPOs) of companies that have gone on to build on his strategies and become leaders in their respective industries.
Greg also possesses a strong entrepreneurial management and operational background. He founded and was CEO of an IT services company financed by two well-respected institutional capital providers.
In addition to his investment and strategic acumen, Greg also brings a wellrounded perspective on today’s changing marketplace, and leverages his cutting-edge expertise to help ensure success for every Ridgeview related company.
Greg is a graduate of Harvard Business School (MBA, Ford Fellow) and Utah State University (BS). He is married with four children.

Todd Heiner

Todd Heiner is another member of our Executive Board. He is the Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer and President of Express Locations LLC, a T-Mobile Premium Retailer (TPR) representing T-Mobile USA with 130 retail locations and more than 1,200 employees in 10 western states. He is a results orientated leader with over 30 years of strategic and operational management experience. Express was founded in early 2006 and has generated cumulative sales in excess of $500 million. Today, Express Locations is the second largest T-Mobile branded distribution partner in the United States.
As an original member of Pacific Northwest Cellular, Western Wireless and VoiceStream Wireless leadership teams, Todd’s leadership and skills helped the company grow from a rural carrier into a national presence. He helped launch numerous wireless markets throughout the United States beginning with VoiceStream Wireless first market in Hawaii. He helped lead the sales organization transition and integration of PowerTel, Aerial, Omnipoint and SOL Wireless in a series of acquisitions over a 2 year period. Todd lead the sales and distribution teams of over 3,500 employees and 700 company-owned retail stores covering an area of over 200 million people in the United States.
VoiceStream Wireless was sold to Deutsche Telekom in June 2001 for $30 billion. The company was soon rebranded T-Mobile USA. Mr. Heiner has extensive experience in the wireless industry. Prior to founding Express Locations LLC, Todd was also Vice President of Sales for Western Wireless where his efforts to revitalize the organization resulted in record setting customer growth. Western Wireless was sold to Alltel Wireless for $6.6 billion in September 2005.
Todd is a member of the BYU Entrepreneur Founders organization and lecturer with the BYU Marriott Business School and Center for Entrepreneurship. He has also lectured on entrepreneurism at Utah State University and Boise State University. Todd holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Utah State University. He and his wife Janet are the parents of five children.

Teena Carper

Introducing Teena Carper, a member of our Executive Board! She has been on board since the beginning. We love having her insightful contribution.
She is a Counselor at Layton High School. Teena Carper has been an educator for over 25 years. She has spent her time teaching social studies, ESL and counseling at the high school level.
She is inspired by today’s youth and loves to be part of the planning process. Teena is also the mother of four children and has three grandsons. She believes in the quote by Ghandi that states, “be the change you wish to see in the world.”
